The great news for all supporters of the Library campaign is that, having studied all the papers, an Administration Court Judge has ruled that the Church Stretton Library Support Group does have an “arguable case” in its application for a Judicial Review of Shropshire Council’s decision to relocate the town centre library to the school on the outskirts of the town.
The case can now move forward to a full Judicial Review hearing in October/November.
This is a significant step forward in the campaign to Keep The Library Where It Is, at the heart of the town and the Support Group Steering Committee would once again like to thank all those in the community whose support, vocally, financially, lobbying, writing and at public meetings has brought us to the stage where, whatever the outcome, we will at least have our day in court.
