The news we’ve been waiting for has now been confirmed.
The Judicial Review of Shropshire Council’s decision to relocate the Church Stretton Library will be heard on 4th & 5th April at Birmingham High Court.
We hope to have a good number of the Library’s supporters attending in the Public Gallery for the hearing. Details of any travel arrangements will be posted on the website in due course
This is the goal for which the supporters of Church Stretton Library have striven since we first learned of Shropshire Council’s plans back in November 2014. A chance to have our voice heard by an impartial arbiter; a chance – literally – to have “our day in Court”.
To have reached this stage from nothing in just over a year speaks volumes for the sheer determination of the townsfolk of Church Stretton. Whatever the final outcome, we can all be justly proud of what we have already acheived
