Shropshire Council has now announced the next stage in the lengthy process of deciding the future of Church Stretton Library. A public consultation has now been launched which will help the Council finalise details for its procurement process, in which further bids to run the library will be invited.
This is a completely new consultation, so even if you have already responded to the previous consultations, it is important that you participate again this time to make your wishes heard.
The consultation will run until July 10th, and can either be completed online
or paper copies are available from: the Library, Town Council Office, the Leisure Centre, Mayfair and the Health & Wellbeing Cente.
We realise that many people will be taking holidays during the consultation period, so do make sure you respond promptly, and help spread the word about the latest consultation.
For an over view of the situation regarding the town’s “At Risk ” services, there is an informative report on the Town Council’s website
which includes the funding requests made by ourselves and the Academy.
