Church Stretton Library Support Group Ltd presents ‘No Need for Pictures’

Everybody loves a peep behind the scenes! Don’t forget the Talk on Thursday 21st September when scriptwriter Bert Coules describes the workings of BBC radio drama production, illustrated with his photos and anecdotes of some of Britain’s best loved actors. Bert has enjoyed writing for and working with Judi Dench, Michael Williams, Brian Blessed, Oliver Reed, Andrew Sachs, Hugh Bonneville, Mark Gatiss, Michael Hordern, Tom Baker, Philip Madoc and so many more. Who can forget the rich tones of Sir Donald Sinden as Sir Charles Baskerville in Bert’s dramatization of ‘The Hound of the Baskervilles’?

Fans of Sherlock Holmes in particular are in for a special treat, and Burway Books will be in the Hall selling BBC CDs of Bert’s radio dramatizations of Conan Doyle’s famous tales featuring some of the above-mentioned actors.

Thursday 21st September URC Hall. Doors open 6.45pm for teas, talk starts 7.15. Tickets £8.00 from Burway Books.
